The earliest priesthood mentioned in the Bible, is alluded to as the order of Melchizedek. Melchizedek meaning ‘king of righteousness.’ In Psalms 110, Yahushua Christ is spoken of as holding position in this ancient order. “The Lord hath sworn, and will not repent, thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek.” While this ancient group remains ambiguous and little defined within the canonical materials, we discover in the extra biblical texts much information which when examined, elaborates in great detail on the structure, association, and the membership of certain patriarchs to this timeworn organization.
Many scholars having been interested in this concept and likewise because so many of you have asked me to make available in print for public consideration, The Book of the Order said to have been written by Elijah the prophet. I decided to release this title. An extract from the Kitab-Al Magalli included within this manuscript, verifies scripturally that Adam in paradise before his fall, was ordained by God and trained by His angels to assume in what is cited as the church of Eden, the role of priest, king, and prophet.
His position and priestly initiation are said to have been preserved and passed down in instruction to Enoch, Noah, Shem, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and then Joseph. Before being lost in oppression as the Israelites were enslaved amongst the Egyptians. The anointing of priest, prophet, and King were then separated between the tribe of Judah and Levi. Kingship would be maintained by the sons of Judah and the priesthood by the Levites. Interestingly enough, a document called On the Priesthood of Jesus Christ, affirms that the Virgin Mary was of both tribes and that through Yahushua, these titles and positions were once again reunited.
14 'He then said, 'Conduct an investigation, and you will see that during the time of Aaron the priest, there was a mixing between Aaron and Judah, that is to say from David, and that for this reason, I marvel at the life of Jesus. 'After having examined the facts for myself, I have discovered that Mary as well, by her genealogy, descends from both tribes.' In carrying out my investigation I discovered another secret, and I am delighted that you also will conduct investigation and that after having made the discovery you will further confirm me, or else, if you do not make this finding, you will set me straight.’ 15 'Emboldened at the thought of invalidating the nominee, consider how thoroughly they began to inquire into his family; and driven by a divine force they discovered that Mary, in her lineage, was part of the two tribes at the same time.'
The historical roots and traditions of the Melchizedek priesthood are mentioned in great detail within the manuscripts compiled in this collection. Deciding to gather together these resources for print, one can find contained within extract of Adam’s initiation into this priesthood, as expounded upon by the Kitab Al Magalli, together in complete form the ancient manuscripts the Book of the Order, and The Writings of Abraham. Our purpose in releasing this title was not only to preserve these ancient manuscripts, but also to elaborate in theme on the concept of the order of Melchizedek as presented within Scripture.
