The English translation of the Ethiopic Kebra Nagast meaning "Book of the Glory of Kings" was first released in 1922 by E.A. Wallis Budge. Its content is based on the tradition that the Queen of Sheba, visited Solomon to inquire personally of his wisdom. Her visit with him inflamed what is historically regarded as one of the world's greatest love stories. Returning south, the queen gave birth to Menelik I, Solomon’s son whose desire to meet his famous father was a catalyst for the compilation of the stories found within this text. (362 pages)
